Cecilia Timoney

MCSP HCPC

Cecilia set up Physiotherapy Associates in 1996 after working for some years as a Senior Physiotherapist in the NHS.

Over the years she has seen the clinic grow and develop, not only as a leading physiotherapy clinic with six physiotherapists but as a centre incorporating other disciplines and professions. Her vision was to create a one- stop location where many issues relating to health and wellness could be treated.

As well as attending courses and regular CPD to develop and enhance her own physiotherapy skills, she has undertaken many business- related programmes to help with management of the busy clinic.

She has also completed her APPI Pilates matwork series and teaches classes at the clinic.

Away from the clinic she is mum to three girls and enjoys spending free time between Fermanagh and Donegal.

Brendan Sheridan

MCSP HCPC

Brendan is one of our resident physiotherapists who qualified from the University of Ulster in 2016 with a First-Class Honours Degree, finishing at the top of his class. Since then, he has acquired a vast amount of experience working in both the NHS and the private sector. With Brendan’s passion lying in sports and exercise therapy, he also completed an undergraduate degree from University College Dublin achieving a Bachelors Honours Degree in Health and Performance Science.

His passion for physiotherapy is built from a desire to help rehabilitate patients back to full health and, with that in mind, he has also completed training in Acupuncture, Pilates, the McKenzie Technique and the Brian Mulligan Technique after university. He is one of the clinic’s APPI Pilates instructors and takes classes weekly along with his clinical musculoskeletal work, which involves manual hands-on treatment and exercise therapy.

Outside of physiotherapy, Brendan is a keen fitness enthusiast taking part in cardio-vascular exercise, calisthenics, strength and conditioning and resistance training. He is also an avid dog lover and proud owner of a five-year-old rescue which he adopted over three years ago. As well as owning a dog, Brendan donates monthly to animal charities such as Born Free and The Little China Dog Rescue.

Having seen the impact physiotherapy can have on an individual’s life, both from a professional and personal perspective, Brendan uses this experience to inform his care with every client that comes into the practice. His belief is that physiotherapy is uniquely placed to inspire confidence in movement and guide clients on returning to full function with self-management strategies, physical activity and education.
